Joanna writes about falling in and out of love with people, places, and the versions of herself she’s met along the way.

Every year or two, I pull together a chapbook of poems I’ve written. Most are written within that year.

I go to Aegina Island in Greece and print as many copies as I have years. I keep one copy for myself, and I leave the rest on bus stops and ferry boats and park benches wherever I am celebrating my birthday that year.

The first chapbook was distributed on Milos Island in 2024. The second chapbook was distributed on Hydra Island in 2026.

If you find a chapbook in the wild, let me know what you think.
